• Pick up from hotel is 7:30am 
  
• In Christchurch board the TranzAlpine train to travel through the Southern Alps to Arthurs Pass
• Travel by road or rail through the rural pastoral scenes of the Canterbury Plains
• At Arthurs Pass take a walk to to the breathtaking Devils Punchbowl Waterfall.
• Lunch  in Arthurs Pass (not included, recommended to pring a packed lunch)
• Following lunch there time to explore the picturesque village of Arthurs Pass
• If going by rail the return journey to Christchurch is by road through Arthurs Pass National Park and the high alpine passes
• Stop at the Conservation Area of Castle Hill Rocks. (a filming location for Narnia)
• Arrival to hotel approx 5.30 pm

Scenic "Plus" Train Carriage - full price for tour is $750

The Scenic "Plus" Train Carriage is the premium carriage with a rail dining experience with local ingredients from the lands you see through the window, with access to the panoramic views, an open air carriage and cafe onboard.

Included in the tour.

• Train ticket if option selected (subject to availability)
• Water bottles for each crew member.
• Transport with pick up and drop off to hotel.

Not included in the tour.

• Meals/snacks (please bring a packed lunch and snacks) there is cafe on train.
